Our SOLD-OUT event celebrated 10 years of IMPACT for the Untapped Potential community and was a great way to kick off 2026!
The Reignite YOUR Professional Self event brought together industry mentors and returning talent in a powerful reminder of what’s possible when women are supported to reconnect with their career aspirations.
The evening opened with a warm welcome from Deborah Hopper, Director of People at Connecticut Wealth Management, who spoke to the alignment in our missions: helping people reach their aspirational goals. We were then inspired by remarks from Tracy Opoku, General Counsel, State of Connecticut - Office of Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz, who highlighted the value of workforce development and promoting pathways for women in STEM, and its overlapping alignment with the Governor’s Council for Women and Girls (COWAG). Tracy’s candid reflections on balancing career and life as a wife and mother of three young children resonated deeply across the room. She encouraged us to “be bold” and to “be brave” as we look towards 2026!

We set BIG aspirations toward our "limitless" potential for 2026! Each attendee left with a custom Punch Card with microsteps focusing on YOU, defining your team and working 1% more towards their professional goal.
Lift Each Other UP Panel
The highlight for the evening was our LiftUP Panel featuring those at differing points of their career-life success sharing their journeys.

Led by Emmy Award–winning journalist Sarah Cody, Director of Public Relations at Middlesex Health, the conversation explored the real work of recreating a professional identity, the power of upskilling, and the business value when skills gained through parenting are leveraged in the workplace. Recap to follow...
Much Thanks...
A hearty shout out and thank you to all the partners who came together to make the evening a success. Professional development coach, Jan Turner and Career Coach Helen G. Sneed, EMBA enthusiastically offered their support, expertise and services. Teresa Dotson of Nutrition Solutions for Life and Cray Case of BIRDCODE provided the nourishing food that kept the energy high. We of course loved having our wonderful female-founded vendors: Alison Kennedy of Palm Resort Wear, Jean Mix and Kimberly Zanini-Bryant of the Menopause Girls, and Francine Farkas Sears of Francine Collections. Can't wait to share your new professional headshots by Christine Petit of Hotshots & Le Petit Studios. And we look forward to sharing some great video from Diego Martinez of Synchronicity Studios. Thank you to each and every one of you. Your talent and your contributions are so appreciated.

We cannot believe it’s been 10 years of 🆙!!
A heartfelt thank you to the Connecticut Wealth Management team for their generosity and incredible support in hosting Untapped Potential’s Mentor Mingle. Our industry mentors create the professional environment where returning Moms can confidently step back into their careers, and that magic would not have been possible without such a welcoming, thoughtfully designed space
The alchemy of Untapped Potential Inc. was on full display. New connections were made and momentum was sparked!
As we step into our next decade, we asked our community to renew their commitment to opening minds, opening doors, and opening conversations—through literal informational interviews and warm introductions that showcase who returners are and how we can contribute to the workforce. Start with registering for our upcoming Mock Interviews where our Candidates can be BOLD and BRAVE as Tracy encouraged, yet in a safe community- supportied space.
