Hosting our Milestone Event celebrating 10 years of IMPACT at Untapped Potential was so valuable! A strong community of mentors and professional talent seeking to return or pivot came together in their beautiful collaborative space.

The evening opened with a warm welcome from  Deborah Hopper, Director of People at Connecticut Wealth Management, who spoke to the serendipitous alignment in our respective missions:

helping people turn their aspirations to reality.

Debbie reflected on her history with Untapped Potential:

"I started to work with Untapped Potential a number of years ago as a mentor. I met Candace and Jen and saw firsthand the work they do to help women return to the workplace from whatever point they are at in life. Reigniting careers by connecting businesses with untapped talent. What a great idea!"

We were then inspired by remarks from Tracy Opoku, General Counsel to State of Connecticut - Office of Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz , who highlighted the value of this work in workforce development and STEM, aligned with the Governor’s Council for Women and Girls (COWAG). Tracy’s candid reflections on balancing career and life as a wife and mother of three young children resonated deeply across the room. She encouraged us to “be bold” and to “be brave” as we look towards 2026!

The impetus for the Event at Connecticut Wealth Management: stellar talent:  Meredith Pickett, CFP®, Financial Advisor launched Connecticut Wealth Management in 2018 through Untapped Potential.
