We're so happy to share the background of the speakers at our upcoming skillUP Lunch & Learn titled: skillUP in AI - A Returner's Journey.

This is our 3rd skillUP Session particularly highlighting the omni-present topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Prior sessions have focused on AI for the Office or AI for your everyday home tasks (such as planning a vacation or managing your complex family schedules), this session delves into the task at hand - transitioning from a stay-at-home Mom (#SAHM) back to your professional #career potential.

Beyond how others might be using AI in a professional capacity, this session aims to illuminate how you might tactically use AI tools in your #returntowork journey. It's objective is to inspire you to embrace the technology and glean new approaches for navigating your key #returntowork deliverables (Elevator Pitch or Resume, for example) and the job search application process.

While many available webinars on the topic of AI are delivered by industry experts in the programming, software development or IT field, with skillUP AI - A Returner's Journey, we offer a behind-the-scenes view from the perspective of a Candidate in your shoes. She'll inspire you with her approach to learning today's technology bringing both enthusiasm and passion! Meet Monica De Lozadapadin, who has embraced her transition by diving into renewed learning in the AI space. To complement Monica's personal, you'll hear an industry insider's perspective of Barbara DeLoureiro, Technology Executive and Founder of Vizionara, LLC. Lastly, Jennifer Frederick, Resume and Career Services expert at Untapped Potential Inc. will share practical examples that you can leverage in your next steps.

Monica De Lozadapadin

Monica De Lozadapadin is a mission-driven professional at the intersection of community impact and technology. Building on a strong foundation in Human Services and HR workforce development, Monica is now applying her skills to the future of work—leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and agile practices to create inclusive and effective systems. Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to supporting people and strengthening organizations through equity, empathy, and innovation.

Leveraging offerings from The Workplace, Southern Connecticut State University, as well as those from Untapped Potential, Inc., Monica has expanded her capabilities in project management (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall), earned certifications such as Google AI Essentials and HRCI Human Resources Associate, and gained experience in compliance and HR operations with organizations like GE Aerospace and CBRE. She is energized by environments that value continuous improvement, collaborative problem-solving, and technology with purpose.

Monica's passion is deeply rooted in her community. As a bilingual leader, she champions access and belonging, serving as Co-Founder of the Association of Puerto Ricans and Latinos United of Manchester. She also volunteers with the American Red Cross in Disaster Relief and leads local youth as a Boy Scout Leader. These roles reflect her belief that leadership starts with service and grows through connection.

Monica lives with her husband in Manchester. She thrives in roles that draw on both heart and strategy—bringing forward a unique blend of cultural fluency, people-centered insight, and tech-forward thinking.  

Barbara DeLoureiro

CEO & Founder, Vizionara, LLC

Untapped Potential Advisor

Barbara DeLoureiro is a technology executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of leadership experience in the high-tech sector. She is the CEO and Founder of Vizionara, LLC, a women-owned technology consulting firm that helps organizations manage complex IT programs and drive digital transformation. Vizionara blends deep IT delivery expertise with strategic advisory services, enabling clients to improve business outcomes, modernize systems, and build high-performing teams.

Barbara’s background includes executive leadership roles at EMC Corporation, where she served as Chief of Staff to the CIO, led IT transformation initiatives, and oversaw key functions including the IT PMO, communications, and talent development. Earlier in her career, she held engineering roles at UPS and worked as a Sales Engineer supporting Fortune 100 clients in pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.

A strong advocate for women in technology, Barbara serves on the Advisory Council of Untapped Potential Inc., a social enterprise advancing gender equity in the workforce. She also actively engages with professional groups such as the CT Technology Council, the CT Women’s Council, and the Society for Information Management.

Barbara holds an MBA from Boston College and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. She is certified in Change Management and Agile Scrum and trained in Six Sigma and ITIL. Through her “Vizionara Gives Back” initiative, she and her team offer pro-boo consulting to nonprofits to support technology adoption and mission growth.

Jennifer Frederick

Untapped Potential Senior Director

Our speakers will be joined by Jennifer Frederick, Sr. Director, Career Development & Employer Engagement of Untapped Potential Inc. who will share state-of-the-art AI tips for your job search tasks. Leveraging her extensive experience as a resume writer, career advisor and marketer of people and opportunity, she'll share useful prompts to support leveraging artificial intelligence to work with today's job boards and applicant tracking systems. (ATS). As a career advisor with JFrederick Career Services, Jennifer shifted her focus from marketing products and services with Fortune 500 brands to marketing people. Nothing brings her more joy than helping someone uncover their unique professional story and crafting resumes or LinkedIn profiles that make them shine. She’s also passionate about advancing workplace diversity and gender equity, which she gets to do every day through her work with Untapped Potential.
