Returning to paid work after a career break is not about starting over. It is about reconnecting with your value, reframing your experience, and stepping into a new professional chapter with clarity and confidence. For many women, especially caregivers and professionals who have stepped away from paid work, the challenge is not capability. It is knowing how to move forward strategically.
The Returner’s Accelerator Workshop, hosted by Untapped Potential, was designed to meet women at this exact point. This virtual, hands-on workshop helps you move from uncertainty to readiness by focusing on the critical steps that support a successful return to work.
Why a "Returner’s Accelerator"?
Career gaps are increasingly common, but guidance on how to navigate the re entry process remains limited and often unrealistic. Many returners are told to simply update their resume, apply broadly, and hope the right opportunity follows. This approach ignores the emotional, strategic, and practical realities of returning after time away.
The Returner’s Accelerator Workshop exists because women returning to work need more than encouragement. They need structure, clarity, and skills training that deliver for today’s labor market.
At Untapped Potential, years of working with returners have shown that success is not accidental. It is built through preparation, self understanding, and intentional positioning. This workshop pulls together the key elements that have helped candidates with gaps ranging from six months to 21 years successfully re engage in professional work.
It is called an accelerator because it shortens the learning curve and helps you get ready faster.
Who This Workshop Is Designed For
This workshop is intentionally designed for women who are preparing to return to paid work or pivot into a new professional chapter. It is crafted for those that have taken on a very different role from their professional background: caregiving. It is especially valuable if you are navigating uncertainty about how your past professional experience may fit into today’s workforce.
This includes women, and men, who are:
Returning after caregiving or family related career breaks
Reentering the workforce after extended time away
Pivoting into a new role, industry, or function
Preparing for structured return to work opportunities
Seeking clarity and confidence before engaging with employers
If you have ever questioned how to explain a career gap, how to articulate your value, or where you belong professionally now, this workshop is designed for you.
What You Will Gain from the Workshop
This is not a passive webinar or high-level overview. The Returner’s Accelerator Workshop is practical, interactive, and focused on real outcomes. Many participants have already participated in our individual workUP Sessions.

During the session, you will work through the most important elements that support a successful return to work, based on over a decade of experience supporting returners.

Clarifying Your Aspirations and Professional Fit
Returning to work often involves reassessing what you want, not just what you did before. This workshop creates space to reflect on your current aspirations and identify where you fit in today’s workforce.
You will explore how your past roles, caregiving experience, and transferable skills align with meaningful opportunities now. This reframing is essential for rebuilding confidence and direction.
Understanding How Your Experience Creates Value
Many returners underestimate the professional value they bring. This workshop helps you recognize and articulate your strengths, including skills developed during time away from paid work.
You will gain insight into what employers actually value and how experienced professionals can position themselves effectively when returning after a gap.
Preparing for Structured Return Pathways
Untapped Potential supports returners through intentional pathways such as the Talent Engagement Pathway and flexible programs like Flexreturn™.
The Returner’s Accelerator Workshop helps you prepare to engage with these opportunities by ensuring you understand expectations, readiness, and how to present yourself with confidence.
How This Workshop Supports Caregivers and Career Pivoters
Caregiving experience is often invisible in traditional career conversations. Untapped Potential challenges this narrative by recognizing caregiving as leadership, problem solving, and resilience.
This workshop supports caregivers and career pivoters by:
Normalizing career gaps
Helping translate lived experience into professional language
Addressing confidence rebuilding without pressure
Providing community and shared understanding
Rather than asking you to minimize your time away, the workshop helps you integrate it into your professional story.
Community, Belonging, and Forward Momentum
One of the most powerful outcomes of the Returner’s Accelerator Workshop is connection. Returning to work can feel isolating, especially when peers have remained continuously employed.
Through this workshop and the Untapped Potential community, returners gain access to a supportive network that understands the emotional and strategic realities of career reentry.
