We are thrilled to be partnering with Seniors Job Bank to deliver Week 1 of Next Chapter Success, a free career service designed to support those making a career transition.
Meet the Speakers who will be sharing their knowledge and expertise at this week's 3-day session that takes place at the Noah Webster Library in West Hartford, CT.

Each session is taught by an established professional whether they are a career coach, workforce development professional, marketing or financial advisor. Untapped Potential's team, as well as long-time coaches, mentors and alumni are facilitating many of the sessions.

What to Expect
During the Program's Welcome & Orientation you'll understand expectations and have an opportunity to share your personal goals for your next chapter of work. Program Leaders will introduce how today's labor market differs from past decades, including trends in hiring, flexibility, and skills-based recruitment. You'll learn that mature workers are in demand and how to align your experience with current employer needs.

DAY 1, April 7 from 1pm to 4pm (Meet the Speakers)
RESUME COACHING
Session shares how to create resumes that emphasize results, transferable skills, and strengths developed over time. Learn to reposition experience for new roles or industries without minimizing their professional history.
INTERVIEW SKILLS
Participants will practice answering interview questions with confidence, clarity, and relevance to today’s workplace expectations. Introduces negotiation strategies for compensation, flexibility, and benefits that support work-life balance.
DAY 2, April 8 from 1pm to 4pm (Meet the Speakers)
DIGITAL & PROFESSIONAL TOOLS
Session builds comfort with essential workplace technologies such as email, document sharing, video meetings, AI, and basic productivity tools. Participants also learn how to navigate online job boards and application systems with greater ease and confidence.
COMMUNICATION & NETWORKING
Participants will strengthen professional communication skills for both in-person and digital environments. The session focuses on building authentic connections, using LinkedIn effectively, and leveraging community relationships to uncover opportunities.
DAY 3, April 9 from 1pm to 4pm (5pm including NETWORKING)
WORKPLACE READINESS
Session prepares participants to succeed once hired by addressing workplace expectations, team dynamics, and adapting to change. Strategies are shared for managing time, energy, and personal commitments while remaining engaged and effective at work.
FINANCIAL WELLNESS & GOAL SETTING (Meet the Speaker)
Participants explore how work fits into their broader financial picture, including budgeting, retirement considerations, and healthcare implications such as Medicare and taxes. The session emphasizes informed decision-making rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.
Prior to the close of the program, participants reflect on what they’ve learned and identify clear next steps for their job search or career transition. Each attendee leaves with a personalized action plan and renewed confidence in their path forward.
DAY 3 ends with NETWORKING!
Don't miss the opportunity to show off those communication and networking skills gleaned during that important session. The Networking Events take place at 4pm on DAY 3. Facilitated by expert networker, and author of "Secrets of a Serial Networker" Anne Garland of Anne Garland Enterprises.
Prior to the close of the program, participants reflect on what they’ve learned and identify clear next steps for their job search or career transition. Each attendee leaves with a personalized action plan and renewed confidence in their path forward.
