The DISC (Diversity, Inclusion and Social Collaboration) group of NEAG welcomes gender-in-the-workplace experts David G. Smith, PhD and W. Brad Johnson, PhD - authors of the book Good Guys - How Men Can Be Better Allies for Women in the Workplace and Athena Rising.
They will lead a discussion focused on why and how men have a crucial role to play in promoting gender equality at work. A sociologist and a clinical psychologist, they are professors and former naval officers with a mission to help men become more effective allies, accomplices, mentors, and collaborators with women to create a more inclusive workplace.
Good Guys is the first book to provide a research-based and practical guide for how to be a male ally to women in the workplace.
Join industry these professionals discussing this important topic of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. If you are seeking to return-to-work following caregiving, you know we need to change the perception of the 'stay-at-home Mom'. This discussion on how men can support women in the workplace is incomplete without including how men can be better allies for women out of the workplace because only when their is equity in the home can true equity be achieved at work.
This DISC session is brought to you by NEAG members with years of experience in leadership, HR, communications and DEI.
