Network & skillUP: TED Talk

UP Candidates can further hone their networking skills and participate in this skillUP Lunch & Learn type session live as we join those in industry gathering for #TED TALK TUESDAY at WORK_SPACE, an artistic co-working venture.

Like a book club, but no reading required! We watch a short video related to our professional growth and discuss.

We've selected the following talk because it highlights the work left to do in society in order to achieve true gender equality in the workplace. First, we need to value the caregiving of future generations. It is as vital as investing in infrastructure for industry or business success. Then, the speaker highlights we need to flip the script so that males can share in the work of caregiving without bias.

By Ann-Marie Slaughter

A global perspective on:

  • Valuing family as much as work,

  • Evolving feminism to humanism, and

  • The growing epidemic of Workaholism

Making career and life options equitable so we can theoretically live the choices best for each of us.

You bring your own lunch and WORK_SPACE provides beverages and cake.
