The power of women rising together creates stronger communities. This truth shines brightly in Connecticut, where the YWCA New Britain hosts a remarkable event that honors women leaders making a real difference. I am proud to share that Jennifer Frederick, a dedicated member of our team, will be celebrated at this inspiring gathering. In her work with Untapped Potential, she has embodied the spirit of resilience and commitment that uplifts women returning to the workforce and unlocking their full potential.
Join me as I highlight the significance of this event, Jennifer’s impactful contributions, and why supporting women in leadership matters now more than ever.

The YWCA Women in Leadership Luncheon
This bi-annual event draws over 400 business professionals, community leaders, and changemakers from across Connecticut. It is a celebration of strength, resilience, and the power of women supporting one another. The theme, Resilient Together, reflects the reality that when women rise, communities thrive.
The luncheon offers more than just recognition. It creates a space for connection, networking, and inspiration. Attendees hear from influential speakers and share stories that highlight the courage and determination of women overcoming barriers in their careers and communities.
This year’s keynote speaker is Connecticut’s Secretary of State, Stephanie Thomas, whose leadership exemplifies dedication to public service and equity. Emmy-award winning news anchor Kerri-Lee Ma will emcee the event, adding a touch of grace and professionalism to the celebration.
Honoring Jennifer Frederick’s Impact
Jennifer Frederick has been a guiding light for many women navigating career transitions. At Untapped Potential, she brings care and expertise to career services that help women return to work with confidence. Jennifer often says our work is about making the “invisible” visible, recognizing the untapped potential in every candidate.
Her recognition at the YWCA event is a tribute not only to her professional achievements but also to the courage of the women she supports. Jennifer’s commitment goes beyond coaching; she builds bridges for women to access opportunities that might otherwise remain out of reach.

Jennifer’s approach includes:
Personalized career coaching tailored to individual strengths and challenges
Workshops that build practical skills for job searching and interviewing
Advocacy for inclusive hiring practices that value diverse experiences
Her work aligns perfectly with Untapped Potential’s mission to create more inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
Why Supporting Women in Leadership Matters
Women face unique challenges in the workforce, especially when returning after a career break or navigating systemic barriers. Events like the YWCA luncheon highlight these challenges while celebrating the progress made.
Supporting women in leadership benefits everyone. When women lead, they bring diverse perspectives that improve decision-making and innovation. Communities grow stronger as women’s economic participation increases, creating ripple effects that improve families and neighborhoods.
At Untapped Potential, we see firsthand how career services can transform lives. By helping women re-enter the workforce, we unlock untapped potential that benefits employers and communities alike.
