
Candace Freedenberg
Founder, Untapped Potential
Candace Freedenberg is a technologist and business leader with experience at Laboratory for Laser Energetics, IBM, Kodak, and Orafol. Her work, historically at the forefront of technology and new industries within corporate America, yielded many US patents.
Often a catalyst for organizational change, now, as the Founder of Untapped Potential Inc., she is engineering social change for women impacting gender equality, inclusion, and work-life success.
Candace’s company was named top 10 Inclusion Supplier by HR Tech Insights Magazine, appearing on the cover. Additionally,she received the Inclusive Leadership Impact Award (Workplace)) and the Girl Scouts of CT, Breakfast Badge Award, honoring Women Who Inspire and Lead. She also holds Woman-owned Small Business of the Year Award (SBA-CT), Woman of Innovation Award (CT Tech Council), and CT Entrepreneur of the Year Award (Social Good Category).
Candace has championed equity for women as a Keynote, Speaker, or Panelist for Global Diversity Network, Community Economic Development Fund, sheLeadsTECH, Women in BioCT, Greater Hartford’s Women’s Conference, United Way | Women United, and Society of HR Management (SHRM) Conferences for NY, CT, MA & RI. Candace spoke at the State Capitol for the Lt. Governor’s Press Conference in honor of International Women’s Day.
With her passion for STEM Education and Diversity, Candace is an Advisor to both Our Second Innings, LLC, a non-profit learning company, and Untapped.io, a diversity recruitment platform.
Candace holds an MS in Business from Boston University, an MS Certificate in Manufacturing Systems, from NTU, and a BS in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester. She lives in Connecticut with her husband and three children.
